Electromagnetic Frequencies Aren't The ONLY Thing Freaking Me Out!

Television's toughest trainer popped up on the small screen today. As you know, Jillian Michaels is the fitness trainer who appears on NBC's hit show, "The Biggest Loser"--she is a motivator, she is a gorgeous woman AND SHE NEARLY MADE MY HEAD EXPLODE!

Bless her heart. She probably doesn't know any better or she would not have passed along the advice she did today.

Jillian and I are on the same page when it comes to health and diet. We agree 100% that chips, most packaged snack foods, and anything with fake ingredients are bad news. We both agree that fruits and veggies are the most desirable things to ingest.

HOWEVER, Jillian thinks it's quite fine to cook broccoli or other vegetables in a microwave! She actually believes that it is acceptable to nuke food! HOLEY BUCKETS!

Jillian! Jillian! Jillian! The truth of the matter is that a microwave oven will not only nuke the food it purports to cook; it will also FRY THE BRAINS OF THE PEOPLE IN THE ROOM!

Microwaves rearrange the molecular structure of the food, essentially killing it. If you heat water in the microwave, the oven throws unseen toxicity all over the room. It LITERALLY fries the brains of young children. I kid you not!

It makes no sense to me to take whole, organic fresh food and kill it. Doing so robs the food of its nutrition, its goodness, its very worth!

Electromagnetic frequencies, or EMFs, cannot be seen, felt, heard, tasted or smelled. That does not mean they are not dangerous! They are EXTREMELY dangerous.

Microwave ovens are not the only offenders. The power generator setups and cell phone towers we see everywhere give off EMFs. It is well documented that cancers soar in the area wherever these towers sit. Cell phones emit the deadly toxins, as does every appliance in your home. Anything with a cord or a battery will emit EMFs and EMFs are deadly poison.

The only solution I have ever been comfortable with are the chips we use on our phones, the toaster, the fridge, TV, and all the rest of our appliances. Having an LED alarm clock near your head is begging for trouble--in terms of headaches, sleeplessness, and other assorted ailments. We trust BioPro and only BioPro to protect us. Not only do we use the chips, we also depend on their whole foods supplements because it ramps up our nutrition at the same time it affords us protection from electropollution.

I literally cringe when I hear people talk about using microwave ovens. Many people use this line: "Oh, I only use it to heat water." Or they excuse their use of the thing by insisting: "I ONLY use it to thaw frozen meat."

PEOPLE! Trust Mother Connie when I tell you that microwaves are bad news and only bad news.

If you know Jillian Michaels, will you show her this post and tell her I love her madly? Thanks.

Do We Need TWO Packing Lists?

Living in a group home can be challenging.

It can also be challenging when someone you love lives in a group home and that home is a couple of hours away.

Michael Birdsong lives in a Mosaic home in York, NE. He has been, ever since Christmas, jonesin' for a trip to see his family. It has FINALLY been arranged and the preparation has begun on his end, with the help of his Team.

Patty, one of my contacts who works closely with my son, notified me that the packing list we have used in the past is nowhere to be found; would I prepare a new one? I saw this as a chance to have some fun so here are the TWO lists I sent:

"Top Ten Things to keep in mind when packing Michael Birdsong for a trip to Mom’s…

10. Uno Cards

9. Sleep Shirt – one will do nicely

8. Sox -- He gets by with half as many as most of the rest of us

7. Underwares – it’s a family word. Means underwear in the real world

6. Liners and stump sox for his prosthesis

5. If the weather warrants short slacks: Cool Beans!

4. Jeans [with a belt] and shirts. Nothing torn, please.

3. whole foods supplements

2. Ostomy equipment. Send it ALL; he’s likely to need it!

And the NUMBER ONE thing to pack for Michael Birdsong’s trip to Mom’s is:

His shaver and the charger. If he does not have it, he will have to sleep on
the picnic table and the weather may not be conducive. Besides, the picnic

table is in the front yard!

***Don’t get excited; it’s a family JOKE!

NOTE: He will most assuredly want his joke books. He wouldn’t be Michael without them."
And here is the list of Do Not Send:

"The Top Ten Things NOT to Send When Packing Michael Birdsong

10. Harmonicas. He owns too many and wishes to drag them EVERYwhere, all the time

9. Little folded papers he meant to send “To a Friend” but jammed into his pockets

8. Dirty Laundry - Hey, don’t laugh; he will try it.

7. Pencils and Pens - he fancies he will never have enough; the reality is he has too many!

6. Lunch bags and food he has squirreled away like a pack rat. It may be EXPIRED.

5. Cash. He doesn’t “GET” it, even though he has convinced you he DOES.

4. Tooth paste

3. Tooth brushes. Once I found 4 of them in his suitcase. Maybe he thought he’d lose one?

2. Long Khaki pants

And the NUMBER ONE THING NOT TO PACK WHEN MICHAEL MAKES A TRIP IS:

1. A plastic water bottle that is not the cobalt blue bottle with the silver lid!"
Michael Birdsong's Team, including his services coordinator, have their work cut out for them, even without his mother fussing at them about what to pack and what NOT to send.
Michael Birdsong's mom and his whole family deeply appreciate every breath those people take on behalf of Michael and his cohorts. May God bless them all.

Trippin' Out?

Mother Connie is a homebody. Traveler? Not so much.

Having said that, though, I am always game to make a road trip if it isn't too long. This past week found me in a car full of gal pals on a short road trip I will remember always.

Usually the events that go awry are the reasons we remember our travels. This trip was memorable for me because of the 'God things' we experienced and the LAUGHTER. Honestly, we laughed til the car shook and we ACHED!

Now, I have to say that I missed my good water . But I managed, dryly. grin/wink I also did not have my whole foods supplements . But I remembered to pack my jammies and my toothbrush. I had clean unders and a comb. Oh, and I carried some money to buy food along the way.

Our first dinner stop had us searching for a sit down place to get a real meal. We'd all become weary of fast food lunches and we still had some distance to go, so we supported one another with the wise choice of a full meal.

Since we did not see any likely places, we thought it might be prudent to inquire from a local person what spot might be a good one for our dinner. We spied a policeman with his canine companion outside his cruiser at a strip mall. We asked for his recommendation and he directed us to a well known local hangout called "The Steakout." We proceeded North.

When we arrived at our dinner destination, we saw TWO police cars and they were searching a pair of women's purses on the trunk of a car they had pulled over! We were stunned!

From the back seat, I hollered, "Oh boy! STAKE OUT at the STEAKOUT! I do hope this is not a trap!" Sandy cried out, "Do you think they know about the rolling stop our driver made back there?"

We parked tenuously and unfolded ourselves out of the car. We went into the restaurant's dining room and seated ourselves so we could see the activity surrounding the police and the people in question. We learned that the driver had made every effort to elude the police and eventually had been pulled over. The police were searching the car and its contents. It was not long before our policeman "friend" from the mall pulled up with his car and dog. Then another cruiser arrived. There had been three women in the car and one little girl. The child was taken away and the women were put into separate cars. All of us who were gawking out the windows marvelled that the little girl was not crying.

The restaurant owner was concerned about having an unaccountable car sitting on their parking lot overnight, so she asked the cops what plan they had. Oh, they would have it towed.

It so happened that the owner's BROTHER owns a tow truck company! She asked what company they would contact and was told that they would probably call her brother. Well, that would be fine, but the brother was out of town. That gave new direction to the officers' decision making.

SIDEBAR: Only in a small town could this have unfolded in such an easygoing, friendly manner! END SIDEBAR

The entire staff at the restaurant were affable, including the owner. They all went out of their way to make sure our meal was to our liking and that we had anything we wanted. It was clear from the outset that everybody eats at The Steakout because of the food AND personal service. Even all the diners greeted us! We all chatted with one another like long time neighbors over a clothesline.

An elderly couple came in and we soon learned all about the husband's military history, the "real" reason why that car was pulled over, in their not-so-humble opinion, and they were utterly delighted to tell us how we could avoid traffic and facilitate an earlier-than-anticipated arrival to our hotel.

SIDEBAR: Don't you just LOVE people? END SIDEBAR

Here is the scoop on the "God thing:" We drove through the breath takingly beautiful Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was a spiritual experience, really, witnessing all the unique rock formations in the lovely red hues. Everyone in the car favored 'The Kissing Camels.'

The sky was bright blue as we walked around the Lookout Points. By the time we drove out of the area, the sky had become gray and ominous. We admired an adobe home as we left the park. It was immense and so ecologically perfect for the area. Even though it was man-made, it fit into the scenery like a hand in a glove. Then, quick as a flash, appeared a DEER. The deer stopped, looked us directly, and stood like a statue for the longest time...probably close to a full minute. We had stopped the car to take his picture and just as the camera snapped, a car whizzed by and spooked our deer! The deer ran away into the yard of the house we had admired so much! We could see the top of his ears over the adobe wall as he ran along the length of it and there, as big as guffy, was a TIPI!

That deer knew he was among friends!

As much as we need our food and whole foods supplements; as critical as we find water to be, it is equally important to have we friends and family and occasional "God things" to make our lives complete.

Now you know a bit more about why I love my life!

Is Fear in the Air?

There is an email circulating cyberspace that was sent in a panic. Most assuredly it was sent in good faith. Still, It was an account of why there "will be" a pandemic of some draconian malady. There were solutions for this wave of illness, too, so the reader was not just left hanging. Nevertheless, I'm not "buying" this idea of illness.

Those of you who have put up with my ranting and raving about health and wellness know that I support the idea of eating organic whole foods, drinking pure, filtered, alkaline water, taking whole foods supplements, getting adequate rest and exercise to optimize your well being. There are other considerations but those actions are the main features of healthy living.

Furthermore, I firmly believe that every man, woman and child on the planet would benefit from The Healing Codes whether there is a pandemic or not!

The body's immune system takes a hard hit when there is stress. The Healing Codes will minimize that stress. The Healing Codes will flip the 'ON' switch for the body's healing mechanisms.

May I gently remind you that the body heals ITSELF? We do not create wellness because we take medicine, undergo surgery, or submit to costly tests and treatment plans.

The subtle energy of The Healing Codes tenderly coaxes healing to take place in a natural, comfortable way. The speed can be amazingly fast or agonizingly slow--the body chooses its priorities and those priorities may or may not match your own.

One of the best things about the Codes is that you can do them for yourselves, those you love whether they be near or far, and you can teach other people this wonderful healing tool.

Won't you check it out as soon as possible, before a pandemic comes to a town near YOU?

Have I Been DUPED?

WELL! I WILL be dipped in dew!

Headlines all over the place are insisting that all the studies prove there is no good effect from taking vitamins and minerals!

Well! Well! Well! I wonder if they will also put up BILLBOARDS to that effect...

What became of the depletion of the soils? Has THAT changed? I saw no headline to that effect and the Feds themselves made it clear in 1936 that the soils were depleted of minerals and vitamins.

I wonder what the Feds and the people who conducted those studies would have to say about the fact that when my eye was red last week I used whole foods and Limu , not to mention water and my eye was 100% improved in 24 hours. Or, how would they be able to prove that my son's terrible, debilitating, recurring infections could not be managed by antibiotics but whole foods and vitamin supplements as well as good water eliminated all signs of infection very quickly? When Big Pharma's toxic substances gave us fits with horrible side effects and no cure how does that determine that vitamins and minerals are of no consequence?

I have NO CLUE who paid for these studies that make these claims but I have a funny feeling in my gut that if one were to follow the money the facts would show what we all suspect: IT IS ALL ABOUT CONTROL AND GREED.

Hey, headlines like those in the newspapers grab readers. They must do whatever they must do. It's a free country and if you want to spend your hard earned money to take antibiotics and yield to yeast infections, that is most certainly up to you. If you want to cave in to the fearmongering and take flu shots, that's entirely your choice.

I'll be honest with you, though. I'm going to continue eating whole foods, taking and drinking whole foods supplements, drinking great water and thinking good and loving thoughts. Sidebar: That means I won't give a thought to Big Medicine, Big Pharma and all those negative side effects; mustn't give them any of my energy. End Sidebar.

I dearly hope you understand how precious your good health is. Please don't pay any mind to those silly headlines because they simply are not true.

I have NOT been duped! And don't YOU get duped, either. I would love to invite you to learn the truth about vitamins and minerals, particularly Fucoidan, for example. Please visit http://www.pubmed.org/ .

Could They Be WRONG?

Yesterday the news was splattered all over the television like blood over a crime scene...the media pretended to have a big scoop: "Supplements do not do anything good for the body" (my paraphrase).

Oh, really?

The newsman was careful to mention that the study covered a decade and included many people. One study in particular had to do with men and prostate issues. The numbers were staggering. Since I don't 'do' numbers I'll avoid specifics in that realm.

What nobody DID mention would be the KIND of supplementation that was used. Brands, types, etc. Did the test groups drink soda pop? Did the test groups get adequate rest? Did those in the test group drink good, pure, water ? How about everyone's diets? Were they eating microwaved junk? Did they dine on french fries? Did either test group get involved with exercise? What environmental elements were in place? Did these folks smoke, drink, use prescription medications?

You know that these numbers had to be rigged. For one thing, we don't know WHO PAID FOR these studies. For another, we don't know what type or brand and strength or amount of supplementation was used.

The argument that it must be genetics doesn't wash with me. I am only one person out of my entire family who does not deal with the issue of Glaucoma. My grandparents and aunts on both sides of the house lost some or all of their vision to that disease. I often wonder what good supplementation and all the rest of it would have done for them...

I'm in the Senior category, yet I do not have health issues. Surely, my body is aging and not looking the way a 40 year old body looks. But there are no achey joints, no loss of vigor, NO GLAUCOMA, and I can function quite well for someone who has been 33 years old this many times...

Maybe I'm just lucky? Yes, I am. I am lucky enough to drink Limu twice a day. I am lucky enough to drink lots of good, clean water and sleep on a bed that helps me wake refreshed and renewed. I make every effort to move my body regularly; I make sure my diet is loaded with whole foods andI get fresh raw vegetables and fruits, grains, seeds, nuts; not so much sugary stuff. I NEVER MICROWAVE FOODS and if I know foods are microwaved I avoid them like the plague. I also take a whole foods fruit and a vegetable supplement every day. Good luck provides me with pure, alkaline air to breathe in the comfort of our home.

I forgot to mention that I avoid traditional medical attention: no flu vaccines, no xrays.

Isn't it interesting that all those people in the studies found no advantage to their supplements and I am in the pink? Go figure.

Have You Heard...?

I freely admit that yesterday Mother Connie ranted and raved about flu shots.

Maybe there is something in the ethers, because today I found something sitting in my Inbox which speaks to the very same topic of my rant:

was the headline. I went on to read the article and learned that last year's record was not so hot: 50% of the injections were ineffective. This came, by the way, from a place called "Vitamin Research Products," an entity promoting healthy aging.
The article went on to say that side effects were a serious issue, as well.
What Big Pharma and Big Medicine do not appreciate is that the human body heals itself. Healing takes place from the TOP DOWN, the INSIDE OUT, from LEFT to RIGHT and from the PRESENT to the PAST.
You may remember the story I related about Jerry, whose healing process caused him grief, for which he "credited" me. I was only the facilitator. His body did the honor of detoxifying so Jerry could heal.
As the body heals itself the head will be the first to find relief. (TOP DOWN)
The body excuses the waste. (INSIDE OUT) The LEFT SIDE is more likely to find comfort before the RIGHT SIDE. It is very possible to dream wild dreams, have memories pop up, seemingly out of nowhere, and encounter people you have not seen in eons. (PRESENT TO PAST)
This is the reality of healing. The body does not heal because of Big Pharma and their high priced, toxic concoctions. The body does not heal because Big Medicine writes permission slips to send to Big Pharma.
It is crucial to support the immune system. It is our responsibility! By drinking good, clean, Water that is loaded with antioxidants, by eating plenty of raw vegetables and fruits, by supplementing our diets with whole foods nutrition, getting adequate rest, exercise and thinking good thoughts will offer far more benefits than any old shot! Besides, drinking 2 oz of Limu morning and night is the least painful way to beef up your health.
Beyond the suggestions I have described on this post and in order for you to be truly well from your heart, I would also direct you, with love and in truth, to The Healing Codes !

It's ALL About the Food!

Saving Dinner is one thing. But even the Dinner Diva herself, Leanne Ely, would agree that the quality of life is more than dinner...SNACKS are important, too!

Time was when a 5 cent candy bar did the trick. Now, I'm giving away my age! As the price went up and so did my weight and cavity count, candy bars just did not cut it. We had to resort to-dare I say it- HEALTHY munching!

I know, healthy snacks may seem to be an oxymoron. but let's examine the issue: the food that's grown in soil lacks the nutrients the soil does not have to offer. Couple that with the fact that American food is processed literally to death. Inedibles such as msg and sweeteners are added, as is processed salt, icky oils and other gross things that, admittedly, taste good. One of my mentors, Dr. John Cortner, used to wail about pasteurized, homogenized milk being "congealed junk". Some folks cannot afford or have chosen not to supplement their food intake with whole foods supplements. Worse, they may be taking over the counter products that are lacking in quality and frankly, whole foods.

So, what's a mother to DO? What IS there to snack on, if we can't choose from long aisles loaded with chips and dips and microwaved stuff. SIDEBAR: Please, dear visitor, do NOT use microwave ovens. We are talking about HEALTH here. END SIDEBAR.

Well, apples are good and goodness knows that Southeast Nebraska has loads of apples this time of year. All types and colors. Leave the life giving peels on and slice them. Simple. Quick. Yummy. A shake of sea salt will bring out the sweetness and flavor of the apples.

You could even dip those slices in peanut butter, almond butter, hummus, or one of those new protein powders made from sprouts. NOW we are talking HEALTHY! That's what we DO here...

How about keeping a stash of peeled hard cooked eggs in your fridge? You can quickly chop some celery and onion and toss in some commercial pickle relish. You mix it all and spoon it into lettuce leaves for a tasty wrap! THAT is a SNACK.

The old standby of stuffing ribs of celery with cream cheese or cheese food or shredded cheese is okay but why not jazz that idea up a notch? For health's sake, use almond butter or creamed spinach leftovers or tiny ribbons of dried beef.

Tiny grape or cherry tomatoes make a terrific and healthy munchie. Wash tomatoes of nearly the same size and place them on a deli lid (you know, the lid from the Dream Whip). Lay a second lid on the tomatoes and slide your knife between the two lids from one side to the other for a PERFECT half slice to your little tomatoes! Sprinkle a tad of sea salt, a pinch of pepper and a teensy weensy pinch of sugar over the whole works and snack away. ( I saw these techniques done on Rachel Ray, who credited an intern on her show for the slicing tip and I saw someone on The Food Network season tomatoes thusly.)

Here's hoping I have whetted your appetite some. For Saving Dinner , you and Leanne are on your own!

I truly wish you WELL.
