Water Is as Water Does?

I'm turning on the tap!

For a very long time Mother Connie has admonished everyone to drink good water and plenty of it. What constitutes good water? What good does it do, anyway? Well, I've made you a list:

These are the features of a good water filter:
  • Ionizes, Disinfects AND Filters Water
  • 3-stage activated carbon filter
  • Hollow fiber micro-filtration to .1 microns
  • Ultraviolet disinfection including cryptosporidium, E coli, and Giardia Lamblia
  • 3 water settings (alkaline, acidic, purified)
  • Adjustable ph level (4 settings) for gradual acclimation
  • Performs self diagnosis
  • Creates water clusters ½ the size of those in tap water
  • 1.5 gallons per minute
  • Self-cleaning for maintenance-free use
  • Volume indicator shows volume of filtered water
  • Audible and visual filter replacement indicator
  • Audible and visual excess flow indicator
  • Installs in minutes; easily attaches to your kitchen faucet
  • Produces antioxidant alkaline drinking water and a useful acidic water.
  • Switches from alkaline to acidic at the push of a button
  • Five year warranty. Thirty day money back guarantee
Did you notice the part about WATER CLUSTERS? You may not know that the JOB of water is to clump. The water gangs up in TENHEDRINS which number approximately 13. These clusters are what keeps the water from entering the cells of your body. Think of a narrow doorway a person can't walk through easily.

If your body cannot take the water into its cells, you will be dehydrated, no matter how much water you drink.

It's important to drink 1/2 an ounce for every pound of your body weight. Translated that means if you weigh 100 pounds, you would need 50 ounces of water each day. Good water. Clean, pure, proper pH.

Here's the straight skinny on the
Benefits of the Ionizer Plus™ which is a High Tech Health product:
  • Higher alkalinity water buffers over-acidity
  • Improves health and digestion
  • Effectively detoxifies the system
  • Superior anti-oxidant, re-dox of -250mV
  • High permeability, solubility & absorption for rapid hydration
  • Distributes dissolved vitamins and minerals
  • Creates healthy, mineral-rich, filtered alkaline water
  • TASTES GREAT
A ginormous amount of technical know-how has gone into the creation of this water unit. You'd be really smart-and ultimately healthier-to scope this out!

Whole Foods and Food Supplements?

Dr. Nancy Snyderman, is a highly respected physician who appears on NBC TV. She made a statement this morning that not only shocked me; I was offended.

Here's what she said, "Parents, you are wasting your money if you give your children supplements. It gives them nothing they cannot get from their food."

Oh, really? I guess Dr. Nancy did not get the memo the Feds sent out in 1936: They announced that the soils in this country were depleted. I know nothing about an updated memo letting us know that the soils are now full of nutrition. I have noticed that there are a great number of genetically modified foods, but that's another blog post for a different day.

Dr. Snyderman's medical training has led her to believe that supplementing a child's diet-or an adult's, for that matter-with elements the body needs to maintain or regain vibrant good health is a waste.

Frankly, I don't know whether that is just sad or if it is sinister. Dr. Snyderman is a good woman. She has a family and successful career; she is being her best self, I'm sure. It's just that the information she has and shares so willingly is UNTRUE. The system is set up so as to mislead, misinform and misuse people, in my humble opinion.

Here is the truth of the matter: The human body must have nutrition in adequate amounts from WHOLE FOODS and to supplement those whole foods with more of the same will get you healthier and keep you healthy as long as you also drink good water and plenty of it; as long as you get enough quality sleep and exercise AND if you keep your emotional, spiritual, and social life balanced. Moreover, if you have access to ORGANIC WHOLE FOODS, so much the better.

Another facet to well being is Energy Medicine. Never underestimate the power and efficacy of energy medicine to enhance lives even though you cannot see, touch, taste or smell it! The human body is designed by its Creator to heal itself from the top down, from the inside out, from the left side to the right side and from the present to the past. The wisdom of the body to be well has been seriously disregarded, particularly by Big Medicine and Big Pharma. But Mother Connie has known this for a very long time and I know in my heart of hearts that this is true.

Please use whole foods. Buy organic whole foods if you can. Drink your water. Take your vitamins and minerals-there are a LOT of good ones available; there is even healthy coffee! Move your body, get plenty of sleep and fun and please look into Energy Medicine and see how it can improve the lives of the people in your circle. Just click here for truthful information.

H1N1 Flu Shots?

The Center for Disease Control and the media are getting on my last nerve!

The CDC and every television network are mongering fear and flu shots and I have had it with this misery! The last straw came when I heard on the "news" that they now want everyone to inquire about a vaccine recently made available for shingles.

Who knows why I did not have a stroke when that came across the airwaves. Must be my great diet of whole foods, super filtered water and my new exercise regimen. Or maybe it could be my stress relief strategies. Yes, all that must have helped me to remain intact.

Anne Shuchat, of the Center for Disease Control, says her agency is 'strongly recommending' immunization for kids aged 6 to 18. The same agency is advising mothers of teen aged girls to be immunized against the papaloma virus, too. I'm sure Anne and her cohorts would be ecstatic if we all lined up to have shots for shingles.

It makes me angry to have everyone all in a dither over a flu that may or may not arrive. To promote vaccinations is, in my humble opinion, pure evil.

The main 'selling point' for the CDC insisting that every man, woman, and child needs this vaccination is that deaths from this particular flu have been recorded. What they fail to mention is that in every case, there was an underlying health issue-and medical treatment-that contributed to flu sufferers' demise.

Why can't we take a more pragmatic approach? Why can't the CDC offer people vitamins and minerals and suggest they eat well and wisely? Why can't the CDC understand that the human body is NEVER deficient in toxic medications and vaccinations? It is most likely to be deficient in nutrients, which help the immune system to protect us from flu, colds, allergies and more drastic things. I shudder to ponder the REAL reasons why the CDC won't do the above mentioned items.

The medical care delivery system is irreparably damaged. Our insurance system is beyond belief, it's so badly upset. The whole approach to medical care is upside-down in the United States and completely and utterly fails the people. If we don't take full responsibility for own well being and stand up to the bullies who insist "the government knows what's best for us" we'll be shot! With a hypodermic needle.

This diatribe is not meant to be incendiary. It is offered with good intent in love and truth. It may make you squirm and you may feel icky when you read it but I want you to understand that this is the absolute truth. Learn how to be well. Learn how to optimize your health. Don't be a victim in this movement to "help" that is not helpful in the least bit.

Would YOU like to Save Money on YOUR Dental Bills?

Mother Connie has ranted and raved and stood on her soapbox for a very long time now about how to care for your body. You know the drill, so I'll spare you the details. But honestly, my pals keep me in the loop about the newest and most exciting products to enhance your health.

Here's how it happened: Renita came to help us move into a different house. She spent the night and of course, she brought her toothbrush. She opened her hand and on her palm were these little "things" she called Tooth Soap. I had never heard of such a thing. She grinned and offered to share.

WOW! It was an experience, using soap to clean my teeth. We giggled about it and she left me a sample to use. Then we moved on to the madness of moving.

I found later out that others knew about this stuff, too! SIDEBAR: How come I seem to be the last one to learn about this? I'm supposed to lead the way when it comes to fun and this Tooth Soap is about as much fun as, well, discovering any new product! END SIDEBAR.

This is what Shelley had to say about it:

"I started using Tooth Soap a year ago and I LOVE IT!!! At that time I noticed that it only took one week to wash away the tartar and calculus buildup that I had on many of my teeth. (It had been three years since I had the money for a dental appointment.) I also noticed that my mouth did not feel "fuzzy" after sleeping. Interestingly enough, the number of colds that my children and I caught also diminished. Maybe washing our mouths is as importaant as washing our hands in stopping the spread of germs? We recently tried the new liquid tooth soap and are even happier than ever!"

Now, boys and girls, this does not absolve you of your responsibility to drink your water, eat your vegetables and whole foods, move your body and get enough sleep. But you'll be brushing your teeth, anyway, and your dentist will be no doubt be proud of the results you'll be getting with Tooth Soap . The good folks who bring you this revolutionary new way to clean your teeth make no claims. After all, they are not medical experts.

Here is their disclaimer: 'These testimonials do not imply that similar results will happen with your use of our products. We have no competent or scientific evidence to suggest that the testimonialist's experience is due to the use of our products. These testimonials are not intended to recommend any supplement as a drug, as a diagnosis for specific illnesses or conditions, nor as a product to eliminate diseases or other medical conditions or complications. We make no medical claims to the benefits of any of our products to improve medical conditions.'

That said, I still maintain Tooth Soap is fun. Maybe you should at least check it out?

Liver Damage?

Now, HERE is a set of facts that could curl your hair or raise your eyebrows:

The American Medical Association's own journal, JAMA, recently published the results of taking acetaminophen: In only two weeks, liver damage was apparent from taking 8 tablets-4 grams-a day.

Cheery, huh? I thought so, too. Isn't liver damage what we all yearn to experience?

It's way easy to get so much pain reliever in our system by ingesting acetominophen as we can get it over the counter in a variety of places. It appears in convenience stores, pharmacies, grocery stores, even the corner dollar shop.

This is the kind of stuff that makes Mother Connie nuts! We can buy a "cheap fix" for our pain over the counter, but it's "too expensive" to be well, in some peoples' opinions. People want to let the medics choose their pain relief. They want someone else to be responsible for their well being. They want to drink soda, not water . They crave fast food and claim not to have the time to prepare their meals. They don't like vegetables. They stay up too late and suffer from colds and fatigue. They want to do things the way they've always done things and get better and different results.

On the other hand, I hear people claim how "I've done EVERYTHING right and I still have this [fill in the blank] so there's no need to take vitamins or look at Fucoidan as a pain reliever or change my ways." You've heard people carry on this way, too.

I'm not the brightest bulb in the chandelier but for the life of me, I don't GET why people would not choose health over misery. Why would anyone opt for liver damage over vibrant, radiant, glowing good health?

Well, kids. Here's the thing. You can spring for something healthy and tasty, like the yummy stuff with the funny name: Limu; or you can suffer and have liver damage. The choice is entirely up to you.

If you want to do a bit of research, check out http://www.pubmed.org/ and look at all the massive info there about FUCOIDAN. Fucoidan is an element that helps your cells communicate with one another.

People who use Limu report improved sleeping, better numbers in their medical tests, less discomfort, fewer issues with blood sugar, improved mood and all kinds of good things. Even though the Limu company MAKES NO CLAIMS and suggests the consumer drink 4 ounces of the liquid every day for three months before deciding what it might accomplish for the user. My own personal experience was that I got relief much sooner than 90 days.

My buddy, Jerry, declares that "when he grows up, he's going to drink Limu like orange juice in big, tall glasses!" I hasten to mention that Jerry does not hurt and he can work circles around his cohorts, even though he is very much their senior!

Jerry won't have liver damage, either!

Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall...?

When we peer into a mirror, we obviously see our own reflection. Did you ever look into the mirror, though, and think you saw a relative you resemble?

Once I walked into a salon and saw many workstations with mirrors. I looked at my reflection-that was vain of me, I know-and I "saw" my MOTHER. It brought to life the old truism about

"Mirror, mirror, on the wall

I AM my mother, after all!"

The other thing I have observed is that I "hear" my mother's voice. I will open MY OWN mouth and out will come my mother's WORDS. It really is comical. Stuff I swore I'd never say is coming out of my very own mouth and there is no accounting for any of it! wink/wink

I've been ranting and raving and carrying on for some time now about good water , organic whole foods and whole foods supplements, not using MSG and other additives and the whole routine. You've read it all before; there's no need to reiterate.

The funny thing about that is this: I understand some big outfit held a conference call last night. There were over a giga-gajillion people on this call from all around the world and the special guest on the call was telling people the same thing Mother Connie has been preaching about all these many years!

Which just matches what Norma, my dear Jewish friend, told me: If three people tell you you're drunk, GO LIE DOWN.

It is patently obvious that Mother Connie is not the only health nut who espouses these notions about food and health and all the rest of it. And now, between Mother Connie and that crowd on the above mentioned conference call, EVERYBODY around the world knows how critical it is to follow a regimen including foods, water, rest, movement and protective chips on your cell phone!

The question remains: What will you DO about it?

Do You Crave Energy?

Time was when middle aged people complained of feeling tired. Older people were just assumed to be tired; why else would the nursing home routine include naps?

TODAY it's the teen aged kids who are complaining of being tired. I have observed that group to be plagued by head colds, bad skin, and even memory loss. I am so old that I recall that issue was reserved for the elders in our midst!

What could be the difference? Certainly the environment is at issue. I'm sure most every age group has trouble getting to sleep at a decent hour; this accounts for their grogginess and lack of cheer as morning arrives. If folks eat breakfast at all, it may be someting to fill their pie holes that is sugary or has the goodness processed out of it. Worse, it may be NUKED in a microwave oven! It's highly unlikely people who feel tired and sluggish are getting the proper water. YOU KNOW HOW I AM ABOUT WATER.

Here's what really gets my goat: the ginormous amounts of "energy drinks" that are being consumed. Every age group is buying these but teens are buying them as if there'll be no tomorrow!

I have a news flash for those peeps: If it's energy you are seeking, you would benefit greatly from energy medicine . Even the NIH-National Institute for Health-recognizes energy medicine! There really and truly is scientific proof to support the whole concept of energy medicine.

Because we all suffer from the human condition, we grab for a cold energy drink when all our hearts crave is some peace, joy, and love. If we live our lives in truth and with love, our NEEDS won't be outpaced with the stress of life.

Our lives are fraught with decisions. We are able to control the many decisions we make. We have control over whether or not to imbibe in an energy drink or choose a healthy glass of water. We can decide on our own to watch videos til all hours or retire for a long night's rest and rejuvenation.

I fear that if this society does not mend its ways the nursing homes will be filled with people who need care and nobody will fit to be hired. Even if they do get a nursing home position, they'll be taking breaks, chugging down energy drinks, leaving residents to fend for themelves! This would not be good.

Let's lift our glasses high and drink to everyone's vibrant, radiant good health! Then, how about if we all plan to get to bed at a decent hour tonight?

Do We Need TWO Packing Lists?

Living in a group home can be challenging.

It can also be challenging when someone you love lives in a group home and that home is a couple of hours away.

Michael Birdsong lives in a Mosaic home in York, NE. He has been, ever since Christmas, jonesin' for a trip to see his family. It has FINALLY been arranged and the preparation has begun on his end, with the help of his Team.

Patty, one of my contacts who works closely with my son, notified me that the packing list we have used in the past is nowhere to be found; would I prepare a new one? I saw this as a chance to have some fun so here are the TWO lists I sent:

"Top Ten Things to keep in mind when packing Michael Birdsong for a trip to Mom’s…

10. Uno Cards

9. Sleep Shirt – one will do nicely

8. Sox -- He gets by with half as many as most of the rest of us

7. Underwares – it’s a family word. Means underwear in the real world

6. Liners and stump sox for his prosthesis

5. If the weather warrants short slacks: Cool Beans!

4. Jeans [with a belt] and shirts. Nothing torn, please.

3. whole foods supplements

2. Ostomy equipment. Send it ALL; he’s likely to need it!

And the NUMBER ONE thing to pack for Michael Birdsong’s trip to Mom’s is:

His shaver and the charger. If he does not have it, he will have to sleep on
the picnic table and the weather may not be conducive. Besides, the picnic

table is in the front yard!

***Don’t get excited; it’s a family JOKE!

NOTE: He will most assuredly want his joke books. He wouldn’t be Michael without them."
And here is the list of Do Not Send:

"The Top Ten Things NOT to Send When Packing Michael Birdsong

10. Harmonicas. He owns too many and wishes to drag them EVERYwhere, all the time

9. Little folded papers he meant to send “To a Friend” but jammed into his pockets

8. Dirty Laundry - Hey, don’t laugh; he will try it.

7. Pencils and Pens - he fancies he will never have enough; the reality is he has too many!

6. Lunch bags and food he has squirreled away like a pack rat. It may be EXPIRED.

5. Cash. He doesn’t “GET” it, even though he has convinced you he DOES.

4. Tooth paste

3. Tooth brushes. Once I found 4 of them in his suitcase. Maybe he thought he’d lose one?

2. Long Khaki pants

And the NUMBER ONE THING NOT TO PACK WHEN MICHAEL MAKES A TRIP IS:

1. A plastic water bottle that is not the cobalt blue bottle with the silver lid!"
Michael Birdsong's Team, including his services coordinator, have their work cut out for them, even without his mother fussing at them about what to pack and what NOT to send.
Michael Birdsong's mom and his whole family deeply appreciate every breath those people take on behalf of Michael and his cohorts. May God bless them all.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Prison

A trip to the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution is always on my Monday schedule. This week I made my way to the facility and when I came to the stop sign at the junction of Highways 50 and 136 I saw my friend, Anita. She had driven to town for a visit to the prison and she had brought our mutual friend, Jo.

When we all drove onto the parking lot, Jo and Anita hurried into the Gatehouse with their sandwiches. They barely got inside the door when Anita was called to go to the visitors' room. She rushed away and Jo and I waited to be processed so we could attend the meeting of LibOrators 986233, a club within Toastmasters, International. They meet in the Educational Unit of TSCI every Monday of the world.

We were joined by two other Toastmasters from the streets and went to our meeting, blissfully unaware of the drama that was brewing in the Gatehouse!

As we mingled during the social time, one of the club members asked about The Normanator. "Oh, " I assured him. "He and Anita are watching 'Dancing With the Stars' and I'll take Jo home with me for dessert before they drive home."

It wasn't QUITE that way...

After the meeting, our escort brought us to the Gatehouse, where we were met by one frantic Anita. She was nearly crazed and it showed in her face. She wore no coat and begged me to look in my pocket for any keys I may have.

HUH? I had my locker key. Why would I have any other? She insisted, "I'm sure you found MY locker key; I'd expect you to bring it with you."

I was more puzzled than ever. The staff, who had by now gathered in a rather large number, shuffled papers, exchanged looks, asked a million times if we were all SURE...

I suggested they get the master key. Oh, my, no. It could not happen.

That decision did nothing assuage my puzzlement and it most certainly did not soothe Anita's nerves.

Because the weather was uncertain, Anita and Jo had prepared to spend an overnight. Anita's car has keyless entry so they could gather their belongings, but without a locker key, they could not access Anita's coat, keys OR HER SANDWICH! I reminded them of our guest bedroom and promised to feed them if they came home with me.

And that's what they did. We fed them potato soup and coleslaw. Of course we had the great, healthy water from High Tech Health we are famous for providing. The Normanator served up his special butter pecan cake with burnt sugar frosting and we all wondered WHERE WAS THAT LOCKER KEY?

About an hour after they had arrived and were discussing the sleeping arrangements and what time they'd need to leave to make their Tuesday appointment schedule the phone rang...

The officer from the Gatehouse announced that the lost key finally had been found, after all. You may have heard the sighs of relief Jo and Anita let out. You may even have heard me cry, "Aww, I wanted to make a slumber party out of it!"

It had fallen between two chairs in the visitors' room but did not hit the floor so no one knew it was lost until Anita needed to open the locker.

All's well that ends well. I still want to have a slumber party.

Trippin' Out?

Mother Connie is a homebody. Traveler? Not so much.

Having said that, though, I am always game to make a road trip if it isn't too long. This past week found me in a car full of gal pals on a short road trip I will remember always.

Usually the events that go awry are the reasons we remember our travels. This trip was memorable for me because of the 'God things' we experienced and the LAUGHTER. Honestly, we laughed til the car shook and we ACHED!

Now, I have to say that I missed my good water . But I managed, dryly. grin/wink I also did not have my whole foods supplements . But I remembered to pack my jammies and my toothbrush. I had clean unders and a comb. Oh, and I carried some money to buy food along the way.

Our first dinner stop had us searching for a sit down place to get a real meal. We'd all become weary of fast food lunches and we still had some distance to go, so we supported one another with the wise choice of a full meal.

Since we did not see any likely places, we thought it might be prudent to inquire from a local person what spot might be a good one for our dinner. We spied a policeman with his canine companion outside his cruiser at a strip mall. We asked for his recommendation and he directed us to a well known local hangout called "The Steakout." We proceeded North.

When we arrived at our dinner destination, we saw TWO police cars and they were searching a pair of women's purses on the trunk of a car they had pulled over! We were stunned!

From the back seat, I hollered, "Oh boy! STAKE OUT at the STEAKOUT! I do hope this is not a trap!" Sandy cried out, "Do you think they know about the rolling stop our driver made back there?"

We parked tenuously and unfolded ourselves out of the car. We went into the restaurant's dining room and seated ourselves so we could see the activity surrounding the police and the people in question. We learned that the driver had made every effort to elude the police and eventually had been pulled over. The police were searching the car and its contents. It was not long before our policeman "friend" from the mall pulled up with his car and dog. Then another cruiser arrived. There had been three women in the car and one little girl. The child was taken away and the women were put into separate cars. All of us who were gawking out the windows marvelled that the little girl was not crying.

The restaurant owner was concerned about having an unaccountable car sitting on their parking lot overnight, so she asked the cops what plan they had. Oh, they would have it towed.

It so happened that the owner's BROTHER owns a tow truck company! She asked what company they would contact and was told that they would probably call her brother. Well, that would be fine, but the brother was out of town. That gave new direction to the officers' decision making.

SIDEBAR: Only in a small town could this have unfolded in such an easygoing, friendly manner! END SIDEBAR

The entire staff at the restaurant were affable, including the owner. They all went out of their way to make sure our meal was to our liking and that we had anything we wanted. It was clear from the outset that everybody eats at The Steakout because of the food AND personal service. Even all the diners greeted us! We all chatted with one another like long time neighbors over a clothesline.

An elderly couple came in and we soon learned all about the husband's military history, the "real" reason why that car was pulled over, in their not-so-humble opinion, and they were utterly delighted to tell us how we could avoid traffic and facilitate an earlier-than-anticipated arrival to our hotel.

SIDEBAR: Don't you just LOVE people? END SIDEBAR

Here is the scoop on the "God thing:" We drove through the breath takingly beautiful Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was a spiritual experience, really, witnessing all the unique rock formations in the lovely red hues. Everyone in the car favored 'The Kissing Camels.'

The sky was bright blue as we walked around the Lookout Points. By the time we drove out of the area, the sky had become gray and ominous. We admired an adobe home as we left the park. It was immense and so ecologically perfect for the area. Even though it was man-made, it fit into the scenery like a hand in a glove. Then, quick as a flash, appeared a DEER. The deer stopped, looked us directly, and stood like a statue for the longest time...probably close to a full minute. We had stopped the car to take his picture and just as the camera snapped, a car whizzed by and spooked our deer! The deer ran away into the yard of the house we had admired so much! We could see the top of his ears over the adobe wall as he ran along the length of it and there, as big as guffy, was a TIPI!

That deer knew he was among friends!

As much as we need our food and whole foods supplements; as critical as we find water to be, it is equally important to have we friends and family and occasional "God things" to make our lives complete.

Now you know a bit more about why I love my life!

Mother Connie Sez: "Everybody's the Expert!"

My blood pressure just can't take all the media hype! I'll have to stay away from the television set, stop reading magazines and lower the volume on the radio.

Every program, every infomercial, too many advertisements are touting information about how we should eat, how we should NOT eat, and how everyone MUST 'ask your doctor.'

The real news is that my own body knows what's best for it. A doctor, while they have a place in society, is only going to offer me prescription drugs, endless tests, and when all his medicines fail me, he will know just the doctor who can perform the very surgery I need.

Oh, contraire! My body does not suffer from a deficiency of drugs. My blood will not be purified by tests on end, and unless there is a bullet inside me, I'm not likely to need surgery.

Am I unique? Not really. Each of us is unique in many ways but every human being on the face of the earth has basic needs:

  • good, clean alkaline air to breathe
  • clean, alkaline, filtered water to drink in abundance
  • organic, fresh whole foods to eat
  • supplemental vitamins, minerals, antioxidants

adequate rest and sleep

moderate, regular excercise

Nowhere on that list will you see phthalates, artificial sweeteners, microwaved products, chemicals such as monosodium glutamate which masquerades now as 'hydrolized protein' or soda pop!

I suppose I just ruined all your culinary fun. But if you hang out in Senior Centers you'll find out that all these things contribute to the misery people suffer when they get to their Golden Years. Achey joints, skin that looks as if it needs to be ironed, lack of energy, no stamina, and lists of complaints as long as their weak arms can be noted! Had these people been properly nourished properly hydrated and all the rest of my "laundry list" of 'shoulds'-they may not have so much pain.

It's all about the water . Well, water's a critical component to your health. Don't let those TV ads frighten you into taking something for which your body has no need or use.

Folks, it is 2009! No one needs to suffer needlessly. Get with a good program of everything on the list I've given you and BE WELL, Please.

Now is a wonderful time to plant a garden and take responsibility for some organic whole foods you can grow yourself! Remember, gardens, too, need good water !

Has Spring Sprung?

"Spring has sprung. The grass has riz. Where last year's careless driver is."--Burma Shave Sign

Who doesn't love Spring? The birds certainly seem to be enjoying the season in our neck of the woods. The Cranes are putting on quite a show on the North Platte River. The Canadian Snow Geese have left southeast NE to join their feathered friends along the corridor at the Platte River, too. The Bluejays and Cardinals can be heard screeching and singing and praising the season to the blue skies! I was keenly aware of their presence, along with the red Robins, as I tended the laundry at the clothesline today. The fresh air was delish! I'm sure the birds think so, too!

We are feathering a new nest so we're just learning how pretty it is to see how the light falls at various times of day. We are getting acquainted with the new floor plan and where the light swiches are placed. We are deciding from meal to meal whether we wish to take our food in the kitchen or the dining room-so many choices and delights; so little time!

Were we not in the pink of health, enjoying the local wildlife, having coffee here or there, arranging wall art and furniture would not be the joy it is. We are so grateful that we have learned about good clean water, minerals, organic and whole foods, the critical need for adequate rest and exercise. How blessed we are to understand the value of color, of alternative medicine, Far InfraRed products, and massage therapy! We count ourselves fortunate not to use antibiotics, microwave ovens and junk food. Our hearts are bursting with joy and gratitude; our bodies are healthy, strong and vibrant.

Thank goodness we have come to understand the importance of living our truth in love and forgiveness, acceptance and gratitude.

We are much like those birds who frequent our yard. We know our needs will be met.

Does It HAVE To Be That Way?

One of the many things that delighted my heart when I was a little girl was going to my Grandma Wagner's home to visit.

When we spent the night I would have the privilege of sleeping in the Murphy bed that pulled out from the dining room wall. The big round Queen Anne table would be slid to one side of the room and Grandma would open the big door. Down would come that bed, as if by magic! It wasn't the best part of the visit-that would be my Auntie Berta's lemon meringue pie-but it rated right up there!

Another feature of an overnight visit to Grandma Wagner's was the thick aroma of menthol. There was the BenGay ointment, the Vicks Vaporub, and the spray that everybody used at bedtime.

I never did understand why it smelled so 'funny'. Now that I have been 33 years old so many times I realize that both my grandmother and my aunt were arthritic and were looking for pain relief!

Thank GOODNESS I do not know this from my own painful experience! But I hear the stories from others...

Grandma Wagner and my auntie did not know back then that it did not have to be that way. They never did learn how critical good water , clear and clean, pure and healing could have helped them relieve their misery.

By drinking good filtered water and lots of it, they probably would have been free from discomfort, needed fewer ointments and pain relievers. Their digestion and elimination would have been much easier and their skin would have retained more youthfulness. It is very aging to hurt!

Do YOU hurt? Are you drinking the kind of water that your cells can absorb to help you be well hydrated? If not, why not? Please, go here: High Tech Health to learn about the finest water filtration system on the planet.

We were never created to hurt. If you do hurt, please remember that it does not have to be that way.

I'm On Another Tangent

How many times must the public be reminded of the critical need to drink good, clean, pure, filtered water ?

Everywhere I go, people of every age-even toddlers!-are sucking down soda pop and eating snacks laced with the poison chemical substance called Sucralose! It's sold in nearly every school in the country! Every store on every block sells this garbage at bargain prices! Vending machines offer a dizzying array of the junk! It's served at every eatery!

Boys and girls, I feel the need to mention again that just because something is sold in a grocery store, does not mean it's fit for human consumption! And here's WHY:

1. The Food and Drug Administration is corporate compliant, more than protective of the American citizenry.
2. Sucralose, a toxic chemical agent, is marketed as Splenda and is put into every processed food known to mankind.
3. This carcinogenic powder has been shown to be the culprit in causing draconian diseases.
4. Sucralose is the result of the invention of a pesticide gone wrong.

Do you want to ingest pesticides? Do you want your children and grandchildren to drink pesticides?

It's no wonder we have thyroid dysfunction, enlarged livers and kidneys. Can we be surprised that our growth rates are adversely affected? Do we really need for bowels to be enlarged? How about the reduction of good bacteria in our intestines..do we need to have less when our body craves more?

Oh, and don't even get me started on the pH factor getting wacky. You know how I am about water for heaven's sake!

We hear so much about obesity from the media. Who is telling the public about the problems Sucralose contributes to weight gain? Low blood count? Aborted pregnancies and low fetal body weight?

All the public knows is what the tv commercials and magazine ads tell them. And there are the weight loss gurus, who in some cases are seriously misinformed!

Oh, what to do?

THE SOLUTION IS VERY SIMPLE: Vote with your feet and your wallet. Do NOT spend your hard earned dollars on the stuff and do not buy products containing it. Get yourself a good water system and drink water, for your health's sake!

Is Fear in the Air?

There is an email circulating cyberspace that was sent in a panic. Most assuredly it was sent in good faith. Still, It was an account of why there "will be" a pandemic of some draconian malady. There were solutions for this wave of illness, too, so the reader was not just left hanging. Nevertheless, I'm not "buying" this idea of illness.

Those of you who have put up with my ranting and raving about health and wellness know that I support the idea of eating organic whole foods, drinking pure, filtered, alkaline water, taking whole foods supplements, getting adequate rest and exercise to optimize your well being. There are other considerations but those actions are the main features of healthy living.

Furthermore, I firmly believe that every man, woman and child on the planet would benefit from The Healing Codes whether there is a pandemic or not!

The body's immune system takes a hard hit when there is stress. The Healing Codes will minimize that stress. The Healing Codes will flip the 'ON' switch for the body's healing mechanisms.

May I gently remind you that the body heals ITSELF? We do not create wellness because we take medicine, undergo surgery, or submit to costly tests and treatment plans.

The subtle energy of The Healing Codes tenderly coaxes healing to take place in a natural, comfortable way. The speed can be amazingly fast or agonizingly slow--the body chooses its priorities and those priorities may or may not match your own.

One of the best things about the Codes is that you can do them for yourselves, those you love whether they be near or far, and you can teach other people this wonderful healing tool.

Won't you check it out as soon as possible, before a pandemic comes to a town near YOU?

How's Your Energy?

"All matter is energy." --Albert Einstein, Theoretical Physicist

"The energy field starts it all." --Professor Harold Burr, PhD, Yale U.

Having done energy work with my massage therapy work for more years than I care to admit, I clearly understand the worth of harnessing good energy to turn on the body mechanisms that are Divinely Designed to promote healing.

When I discovered The Healing Codes , the information resonated with every cell in my being. I intuitively recognized the power that lay within.

The idea behind the codes is to 'jump start' your body's own healing mechanism. The pituitary glad, the hypothalamus, the hippocampus, and the thyroid work in symphony to serve as the control center with your own healing energy helping your body to heal itself.

My massage training indicated that the body will heal itself, if given the proper environment. That environment can include, but is not limited to proper whole, organic food and pure water, appropriate supplementation, far infrared fabrics, massage therapy, lymph drainage, adequate sleep, and moderate exercise. To be avoided: stress, toxic fumes, processed or microwaved foods, and simple carbohydrates.

My education in body work was blessed by instructors who could help their clients long distance. They often got calls from clients and students about how to help people feel better. I was aware, even as a student, that healing was about the energy of love, prayer, and caring.

The Healing Codes are all about those elements. They have received accolades from those who have benefitted by learning the Codes, by scientific minds who, intitially, were certain these codes would not work. There are reports from clients where self healing took place, even though they had been regarded as "incurable" and mainstream diagnostic tests have concluded that the Codes do consistently reduce stress from the body.

As with anything in life, there are no guarantees. But without the energy and The Healing Codes, what help would we have?

If you are content with the status of your health and you have all the energy it takes to live your life the way you are happiest, you are indeed blessed. If not, then, please take a long and serious look at The Healing Codes.

Ask Your Doctor?

We have a brand new year we are spending and wouldn't you know it? I am on the same old rant!

I have been fussing for YEARS about how Big Pharma and Big Medicine are full of hooey...well, someone took pity on me and sent me a message which reiterated my viewpoint. Don't you just LOVE when someone you don't know AGREES with you?

The woman to whom I refer sold pharmaceuticals for 15 years. She finally gave in to her Higher Self and resigned. She knows where 'the bodies are buried', pun intended.

She understands, as do I, that drugs are meant for ginormous profits, not for health or healing. Traditional medicine's sole purpose is not to cure but to manage dis-ease and control symptoms, thereby satisfying investors. She agrees with my stance that hospitals are full of decay and toxicity.

I was further vindicated when I heard on my drug-peddling television that the NIH studied 50,000 people to "prove" that vitamins are not efficacious. I nearly CHOKED on my pure, filtered water when I heard that! The NIH obviously is not on the organic and whole foods bandwagon. They must have overlooked that delicious stuff with the funny name, too...And, by the way, don't expectant mothers get pre-natal vitamins? Will we be doing away with that, as well, now? If these elements are so worthless, why are Big Medicine's agents recommending them? I think we could follow the money to know.

Fortunately, I am an incurable optimist. I believe in my heart of hearts that Truth will prevail and hearts will be mended in order for all people to be well, happy, successful, and full of joy.

But not because we 'asked our doctor.'

I Promise To Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

From the time I moved out of my parents' home, on New Year's Eve my parents would call me. I'd pick up the telephone and hear both of them shrieking, HAP-py NEW Year! at the top of their lungs. And we would all laugh as if that were the funniest joke on earth. It was one of the many things I missed when they were both gone.

As a family, we did not make a fuss over the old year going and the new year coming. I remember one year they were invited to a party and my dad had the flu and was not up for the festivities. I must have been 8 or 9 years old. At midnight we three sat around the kitchen table with cups of hot chocolate and my dad, the liquor store owner, groused, "Unless this cocoa has CREME DE COCOA in it I'm not much of an advertisement for my own products!" Sick as a pup, he could still joke.

Another year I recall being invited to a party hosted by one of my high school classmates. No one drove in those days. As we were walking home, someone suggested we raid the liquor cabinet of one of the absent parents. I deferred and went straight home, sure I had missed something. My parents' bragging on my 'correct behavior' more than made up for anything I may have missed. Besides, I had no headache the next day...

We have never done the resolution thing, either. We made promises to ourselves and to one another. We would promise to be kinder and more patient, to learn bigger words in the coming year, and to help more people in more ways. My folks were big on doing nice things for other people and never getting "caught", like when my dad forgave the huge grocery bill after the mother of a big family died and my mom took food to people whose kids had stolen candy from their store because she knew they were hungry.

For 2009 I promise to myself to remember all the fun I've known, and indulge in more fun, to keep in close touch with all the people I love, and to SIMPLIFY. I hope I can help people and not get "caught" and I hope I live long enough to see world peace. I promise to drink my water , eat whole foods, take my vitamins and minerals, drink that delicious stuff with the funny name- Limu. There is no reason I can't promise to maintain my health, think beautiful thoughts and live a joyous life. I promise to manifest good things for me and mine and live in abundance all through the year.

What will YOU promise YOURSELF? I'd love to know, if you care to share. Just leave your comments and it will be my delight to peruse them. Remember, I promised myself to have FUN, didn't I? wink/grin

Happy New Year, World!

Have You JUST HAD It?

Do you feel the same way I do?

Are you sick to death and tired of all the flap, all the hype, all the fund-raising and fear mongering about cancer? And other ailments, as well?

It is true that cancer has claimed many lives. And that's very sad. The tragedy of suffering and dying, the misery of the financial cost, the grief of losing people we love is heart wrenching and all of it creates terrible, painful issues with which we must deal.

With all the hand-wringing, all the fund raising, all the hype and promotion, why is no cure forthcoming?

Here is an interesting and telling fact, provided by Dr. Tullio Simoncini, an oncologist: "75% of doctors say they'd refuse chemotherapy if they were struck with cancer, due to its ineffectiveness and its side effects"

Here is an interesting fact from a medical journal called "Clinical Oncology". It is an item published about the results of a study done in December 2004. The study showed chemotherapy has a success rate of just over 2% for all cancers. Put a different way: Chemotherapy has a 98% failure rate!

Yeah. Not to mention the hideous side effects.

Current therapies are not about health. They are about control and money. Follow the money and you'll understand completely.

So...what IS the answer? To my way of thinking there are as many avenues as one might care to travel. I choose to point you in THIS direction: The Healing Codes because I know it is effective. You have heard me brag about water, whole foods, that delicious drink with the funny name, organic products, and the whole nine yards...the whole deal is that you MUST MUST MUST become less acidic and more alkaline in order to have vibrant good health!

Seriously, kids: The Healing Codes
